Grounded in Nature, Crafted in the Capital

Hi, I’m Jessica.

I grew up in Adelaide, where the coastline was more than a backdrop; it was a rhythm that shaped the way I saw the world. The soft curves of worn rock, the shifting colours of the tide, the quiet repetition of waves. These early impressions became the foundation of my creative language long before I knew I would one day make jewellery.

Today, my studio sits in Canberra, a city known for its thoughtful design culture and slower, intentional pace. It’s here that each piece is brought to life by hand: shaped, refined and finished with the same sense of calm focus that the landscape around me inspires. Canberra gives me the space to create with clarity, grounding the organic influences of my coastal upbringing in craftsmanship and precision.

But the sea never left me. I return often to the NSW coast, a place that feels like a continuation of home. It’s where I reconnect with the textures and tones that first sparked my imagination. The coastline remains my creative anchor, a source of renewal and a reminder of where my work began.

A Practice Shaped by Place

My jewellery sits at the meeting point of these landscapes:

  • Coastal softness — organic forms, gentle movement, natural textures

  • Canberra’s quiet structure — minimalism, balance, intentional design

  • A life lived between places — fluidity, contrast, and a sense of ease

Every piece carries a little of each environment: the memory of the ocean, the calm of the bush, and the clarity of a studio built around slow, considered making.

What’s in a Name

The name Sienna Earth Studio reflects this connection, ‘sienna’ meaning the warm red of the earth, a reminder of the natural tones, grounded materials and organic forms that guide my work.

In the end, this studio is an expression of everything that has shaped me. The coastlines I grew up beside, the landscapes I return to, and the quiet, intentional craft that happens here in Canberra. My hope is that each piece carries a sense of that grounding: a touch of earth, a breath of salt air, and the calm clarity of slow, thoughtful making. Thank you for being part of this journey and for choosing to wear work that’s created with such care, purpose and connection.

My Approach

What began as a quiet passion has grown into a practice shaped by place, purpose and a deep respect for thoughtful design. I’m grateful for where this journey started and energised by where it’s heading.

What defines Sienna Earth Studio isn’t just the way each piece is made; it’s the intention behind every decision. I take time to observe, to explore, and to create with clarity. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is accidental. Every curve, texture and form is considered, influenced by the landscapes that continue to shape my work.

This slow, intentional approach is also why I create in small batches. Working in limited drops allows each collection to remain focused and deeply connected to its inspiration. It gives me the freedom to experiment, refine, and honour the natural rhythm of my process, rather than producing for the sake of volume. Small‑batch making keeps the work personal, sustainable, and true to the values Sienna Earth Studio was built on.

This is jewellery built on connection: to craft, to place, and to the people who wear it. Each piece is an invitation to slow down, to choose with purpose, and to carry a sense of calm and ease into the everyday.

Crafted to Be Worn, Not Stored

I design jewellery to be lived in, pieces that feel effortless, grounded and quietly expressive. They’re made to move with you, to soften with time, and to become part of your everyday rituals. My hope is that each piece feels like a small reminder of the places that shaped it: the coast, the capital, and the spaces in between.

A Story in Every Curve

Sienna Earth Studio is an extension of my own story, one shaped by movement, memory and landscape. Whether you’re drawn to the organic lines, the understated forms, or the sense of calm woven through each design, I’m grateful to share this journey with you.
